Nicolas Cole and Dickie Bush created Ship30for30.
It’s a course focused on writers. Is it? I disagree.
Thanks to it, I’ve become a much better knowledge worker.
Here’s why.
Reason 1: You’ll improve your writing
Writing’s the beginning of everything for a knowledge worker.
Writing things down will improve your thinking. In fact, I believe it drives you to happiness.
But that’s another story.
Reason 2: You’ll improve your thinking
You’ll learn mental models that’ll improve your thinking process.
You’ll better structure your thoughts. You’ll draw better conclusions.
You’ll gain clarity and lucidity.
Reason 3: You’ll improve your creativity
You’ll learn how to develop new ideas.
You’ll learn how to go deeper into your existing ones.
Reason 4: You’ll communicate better
You’ll improve your communication skills.
The course is not just about writing and hitting publish, although it’s something I recommend after experiencing it for 1.5 years.
A good knowledge worker should be a good communicator.
Reason 5: You’ll be more productive
You’ll learn how to develop your ideas better and faster.
That’s productivity at its most.
Reason 6: You’ll meet amazing people
You won’t find only writers in there.
You can find amazing people from all over the world: entrepreneurs, creators, engineers, artists, developers, crazy people like me!
This cultural immersion is priceless.
Reason 7: You’ll grow
That’s one of knowledge workers’ main goals.
You’ll grow as a person, as a human being.
There’ll be an “I” before the course and an “I” afterward.
