I always recommend what works for me.
Wouldn’t you like to be more relaxed in this crazy world?
Relaxation equals high performance.
What’s the Problem?
You put things in your PKM.
You start processing.
There’s always a gap between your inputs and outputs.
You usually put more in than out. Your PKM begins to collapse.
You begin to feel cluttered.
To get out of that rabbit hole, here I share a detox solution that’ll leave you in good shape.
The Technique that’ll Drive You to Relaxation
This detox session is like a re-start of your systems and life.
At least once a month, dedicate 2–3 hours in a row to clean up your PKM.
I recommend making it during the weekend: no pressure, no time, no interruptions.
Just you and your PKM.
These are some actions you can take.
Action 1: Goals
- Review your goals and prioritize them.
- Choose only 3 to focus on.
- Change the rest to an “on hold” status.
Forget about them.
Action 2: Projects
- For each of your 3 goals, review what projects belong to them.
- Create new ones if necessary.
- Change the rest to an “on hold” status.
Take them out of your sight.
Action 3: Tasks
- Review all your tasks.
- Delete all those future/someday/maybe tasks you’ll never do.
- They’re just collapsing your subconscious and life.
Breathe.
Action 4: Inboxes
- Review all your inboxes: emails, note-taking apps, read-later apps.
Delete mercilessly.
Action 5: Desktop
What are all those icons doing in there?
Drag and drop everything into your trash.
Action 6: Mobile Devices
- Check all those stupid apps you installed and never opened.
- Structure your screens by subject: finances, lifestyle, productivity… you name it.
Detox finished.
Immediate Consequences
By doing all the actions above, you’ll feel a sensation of release.
You’ll gain motivation and energy to achieve those 3 goals you’ve set.
You’ve gained clarity, launching yourself into the funnel that drives you to success.
Takeaways
- Reduce noise. Increase performance.
- You cannot produce at your best with a cluttered PKM.
- Bring clarity, light, and peace of mind to your life. You deserve it.
